In the meantime, hand injuries are one of the most common traumas in the world. These injuries affect the quality of life of patients. Objective: This study aimed to determine the trend of quality of life patients with traumatic hand injury”. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on patients with hand injuries in 2016. Samples were selected from 100 patients and through convenience sampling. The instruments used in this study included demographic information questionnaire, health-related quality of life questionnaire (SF36), and instrumental arm, shoulder and hand disability questionnaire (DASH-38). Data were analyzed by SPSS 22 and Kruskal Wallis statistical test. P<0.05 was considered as significant level. Results: Based on the results, the mean age of the units was 27.69 ± 7. 21 years. Kruskal Wallis statistical test showed that the scores of quality of life (42.21 ± 14.27, 3 months later, 58.10 ± 12.88 and 6 months following the surgery, 78.88 ± 8.25) were significantly increased over time (P = 0.000). Also, the handicapped hand score (65.34 ± 17.98, 3 months later, 36.44 ± 18.16, and 6.3 months after the surgery, 3.33 ± 1.29) decreased over time (P=0.000). Discussion and Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the quality of life in patients with a traumatic hand injury after the surgery was upward. However, the quality of life of these patients is low even after the surgery. Therefore, the given authorities are required to have a fundamental plan in this regard. quality of life trauma injury patient 2018 11 01 165 172 http://mcs.ajaums.ac.ir/article-1-235-en.pdf 10.29252/mcs.5.3.165

There has been a plenty of research emphasizing on the effect of leadership upon the creation of such a phenomenon. Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the role of training the transformational leadership approach presented to head nurses to see whether they stick to their intention for  leaving the  service or not. Materials and Methods: This study is a clinical trial, single-group, pre-test and post-test study conducted on 30 nurses in one military hospital and 14 ones in another military hospital in Tehran. In this study, within  a three- week -12 sessions , the head-nurses of the transformational leadership style were trained and after eight weeks , the Henishaw and Atwood service leave predicting scale and multivariate leadership style questionnaires were used. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20 and Paired t-pair and independent t-test test. Results: The results showed that there was not any  significant difference in head nurse leadership style before and after the intervention in nurses’ viewpoints. Moreover, the leadership style had been abandoned. According to this study, nurses are highly intended to leave their service. Discussion and Conclusion: The leadership style of the head nurses has a lot to do with the intention of service leave, and many studies have highlighted the importance of transformational leadership style. For this reason, the training of managers in leadership issues and the use of appropriate leadership styles should be continuously done using a variety of effective learning methods so as to change their attitudes, insights, and performance. Objective: The amin of this study was to investigate the role of hope in predicting psychological well-being of soldiers with self-control mediation. Material and Methods: The present study was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population consisted of all soldiers of the garrison of type 277 in Ghuchan during 2017-18. Using a multi-stage random sampling method, 200 soldiers with the inclusion  criteria were selected as the sample group. Data were collected using questionnaires of Miller’s Hope, Tangji self-control and psychological well-being of Riff. Descriptive statistics (frequency, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation coefficient and regression analysis) were analyzed using SPSS 20 (P <0.01). Results: The results showed a positive and significant relationship between hope /self-control and psychological well-being (P <0.001). The results from regression analysis of hope prediction showed a significant relationship (β = 0.13, R2 = 0.02, F = 65.65, P = 0.01), and the results from regression analysis of self-control prediction indicated a statistically significant relationship (β = 0.56, R2 = 0.22, F = 0.65, P = 0.001). Discussion and Conclusion: According to results, self-control and hope were two predictors of psychological well-being of soldiers. self-control is a stronger variable than hope in the prediction of psychological well-being, so it is recommended to offer courses to help them increase the level of hope and self-control and subsequently improvepsychological well-being.   Hope Psychological Self-Control Soldiers. 2018 11 01 201 210 http://mcs.ajaums.ac.ir/article-1-224-en.pdf 10.29252/mcs.5.3.201

Since these traits form the basis of the behavioral system, addressing this issue can elaborate on certain aspects of individual  performance in different fields. Objective: In this regard, the present study investigated  the relationship between personality types and type of control source with the level of self-efficacy of military personnel in Tehran Unit. Materials and Methods: In this study, 260 male military personnel of Tehran unit participated in this study. According to Morgan’s table, 152 people were selected by random sampling method. The research method is descriptive correlational. The data were collected by three questionnaires. The validity of the questionnaire has been reviewed. The reliability of  personality trait (Isingen, 1965), the control source (Rater), and the rate of self-efficacy was 77%, 83% and (Rigsz and Knight, 1994) 88%, respectively. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and SPSS 20. Results: Spearman correlation showed a significant relationship between the extraversion (r = 345/0), introversion  personality types(r =-0.397), external control source (r =0.4104), internal control source (r =-4.303) and self-efficacy level (P≤0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: The results indicated a significant relationship between personality types and type of control source with the level of self-efficacy of one of the military units of Tehran. Therefore, personality traits are important inseparable factors  affecting the organizational environment of human beings because every individual behavior is to a large extent influenced by his personality traits and self-efficacy as a direct organizational behavior is also affected by those features.
