Biography
Ali Reza Khoshdel graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1994 and completed his PhD in 2007 from the
University of Newcastle, Australia. He did his postdoctoral studies in chronic kidney diseases, diabetes
and hypertension in John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, and St. Vincent Hospital in Sydney and has
originated subspecialty clinics for arterial stiffness assessment in Iran. Furthermore, Health-GIS and
meta-analysis are among his special interests.
He has been working in various academic positions since 1996 and currently is a Professor in clinical
epidemiology and the president of Islamic Azad University Tehran Medical Sciences. He has published
more than 225 papers and book chapters in reputed international journals and serving as founder and
an editorial board member and of several international journals.
