Abstract Introduction: Nowadays, the dangers Caused by of ionizing radiation including of the human complications nothings hidden on nobody and according to the high statistics ofdisaster in Iran how disaster management is very important. In the meantime having health care personnel - trained and efficient, is necessary and inevitable. The purpose of this article is acquaint nurses with the radiation accidents And how to deal with in the crisis. Materials and Methods: This paper is a review article that based on collecting data from electronic sources (Elsevier & Pubmed) and published from 2002 to 2014 research related to the topic. Results: Health professionals’ lack of knowledge of treatment protocols in time of disastersleads to a lack of effective health services and coordination in times of crisis. Despite the importance of treatment of radiation injured and The fact that Radioactive materials and ionizing radiation are considered part of modern life, unfortunately, in the various fields of medical education programs including the nursing has not paid the enough attention to it. Training of medical students, especially nursing as the largest care provider in order to respond to readiness for disasters and crises is a necessity. Discussion and conclusions: Preparation nurses to deal with the crisis iscaused that they empower In response to the crisis. Currently need to acquire and improve preparedness in emergency departments of hospitals, for medical response to radiation injured in many developed countries seriously has been considered.
