Description
Military Caring Sciences (MCS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the advancement of holistic, evidence-informed care for military personnel, veterans, and their families. Published quarterly in both print and electronic formats, the journal provides a platform for interdisciplinary scholarship across nursing, medicine, psychology, social sciences, disaster and crisis management, and related fields.
The journal emphasizes a holistic perspective, recognizing the complex interplay of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of health in military contexts and critical situations. It addresses a broad range of issues including trauma, deployment stress, moral injury, rehabilitation, and reintegration, while also considering the ethical and cultural factors that influence care delivery.
MCS welcomes novel and innovative research, theoretical contributions, and practice-based insights that expand understanding and improve outcomes in military and veteran health care. Its mission is to foster global dialogue, disseminate impactful knowledge, and support the development of compassionate, culturally competent, and ethically sound care practices across diverse military settings.
